Jesús de Jiménez was born in Gilena/Sevilla in 1973. There he also owns his own workshop, where he has been building his instruments for many years. He is a flamenco guitarist himself and probably that is why his guitars are outstanding in terms of playability and sound. It is not without reason that he is considered one of the most talented and promising luthiers of the next generation in the flamenco scene. Well-known flamenco guitarists like Dani de Morón, Nino de Pura, Rafael Riqueni, Manolo Franco etc. play his instruments. Paco de Lucia was also one of his customers.
The sound of this concert guitar is very brilliant, loud and with a lot of sustain. The bass is powerful and clear at the same time and the treble has a sweet and warm singing tone.
The top is made of a high quality German spruce, the sides and the back are made of a beautiful RIO rosewood (CITES papers are available). The head is adorned with a high quality Fustero action. The playability is outstanding, have rarely experienced such good playability.
The guitar was played for about 1 year by a professional guitarist from Seville. The condition is near mint except for minimal superficial nail/varnish marks.
