Jesús de Jiménez was born in Gilena/Sevilla in 1973. There he also owns his own workshop, where he builds his instruments for many years. He is a flamenco guitarist himself and that is probably why his guitars are outstanding in terms of playability and sound. It is not without reason that he is considered one of the most talented and promising luthiers of the next generation in the flamenco scene. Well-known flamenco guitarists like Vicente Amigo, Dani de Morón, Nino de Pura, Rafael Riqueni, Manolo Franco etc. play his instruments. Paco de Lucia was also one of his customers.
This guitar comes from a professional guitarist from Sevilla and is very well played in. The top is made of finest Honduras cedar and the sides and back of a high quality Indian rosewood. The wood combination used here makes for a loud, crisp and slightly aggressive flamenco tone. Unfortunately, these beautiful cedar tops are far too rarely used on new flamenco guitars, these days the spruce top is preferred. The basses are deep and the trebles are very loud, together it gives a very nice and balanced sound.
The guitar is as good as new and shows hardly any signs of use, although it has been played a lot.
If you are looking for a crisp flamenco sound and still want to play in concert, this is the guitar for you.
