The Conde Calle Atocha store in Madrid is run by Julia Conde. She is the daughter of Julio Conde, one of the 3 brothers of the famous Conde dynasty, who died in 1995.
The guitar offered here is close to the old sound of the Faustino brothers. It is incredibly loud and percussive, making it ideal for dance accompaniment, as a good Blanca should be. It has deep and buzzy basses and a balanced treble. The playability is excellent. The condition is almost perfect except for a few nail marks. I have played this guitar a lot and with pleasure and you can hear that, the tone has developed a lot. The head is adorned with a mechanism called „Pegheds“, these are mechanical pegs that look like traditional wooden pegs.
Here you get a Conde in the old tradition as all Conde lovers are looking for and at a very fair price. A new Conde Media Luna has become almost priceless.
Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, Paco Cepero, Moraíto etc. have played these guitars and made them world famous.
